This election day, voters will be casting their slips and Chaska voters will see the name Richard Swanson on the mayoral ballot.  Swanson is a I am “walking” to become the Mayor of Chaska. As a criminal defense attorney with a law practice in Chaska for over 20 years, I have met and represented a number of residents from all walks of life in the community of Chaska, as well as, the surrounding area. In addition, I have built a successful working relationship with the local law enforcement while living and practicing in this area.

Throughout the years, I have been able to assist residents of this community in legal issues that have arisen in their lives, whether it is a DWI, assault, theft, traffic violation, or a drug related incident. I have been fortunate enough to meet and hear the life stories of many residents through my practice, which I feel would make me a great Mayor of Chaska, as I feel I understand people in all walks of life. In the criminal law area, you work with a variety of people and professions, whether it be a small business owner, to a stay-at-home-mom, to a Judge of District Court, to an unemployed veteran, I have gained experience in working with these individuals to obtain the best possible outcome for the client. Being an experience trial lawyer, I can further build on the relationships that are already established with law enforcement and the Courts in the area of Chaska and Carver County by becoming the Mayor of Chaska.
